Grooming: Bathe and groom your animals thoroughly. Clipping them at least 7 days prior to the show. ½ to 5/8 on the body and normally back-drag the face. This includes hooves, trimming hair, and brushing coats. Clip hair around the ears, face, and legs for a neat appearance.

Training: Train your animals to walk on a lead and pose properly for judging. Practice setting your animals in a way that showcases their best features.

Feeding: Adjust the diet of your animals to ensure they are in optimal condition. Monitor their weight to achieve the desired appearance.

Housing: Provide clean housing for your animals, especially in the days leading up to the show.

Paperwork: Ensure all necessary paperwork including record books and sponsor letters is completed.

Transportation: Plan and arrange for safe transportation to the show venue.
